Tricia Soule, Executive Director

From the Director

The New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts was started in the 1980’s to build stronger ties between the business and arts communities. We continue with that work today and are focused more than ever on “Connecting art and commerce: Fueling the creative economy.” The NHBCA is located precisely at the intersection of art, commerce, technology, and cultural tourism. We are uniquely positioned to serve as a convener for business and arts professionals to stimulate conversations that lead to a greater understanding of how business and art can support one another.

The NHBCA partners with businesses, artists, and organizations around the State to introduce opportunities for people to engage in art-related experiences that help break down barriers. Together we promote the economic power of the arts in shaping our communities and creating a deeper sense of belonging — in and out of the workplace.

Companies looking for a competitive edge invest in people who bring more than the required knowledge to their jobs. They know they need creative thinkers, collaborative team players, and effective communicators to build successful businesses. These “soft skills” are fostered by the arts.

The arts also positively impact some of New Hampshire’s most interesting towns and cities. Arts and culture are the foundation of vibrant, diverse, and prosperous communities.

We hope you will attend one of our upcoming events and learn more about how the NHBCA is actively working to make the Granite State one of the most desirable places to call home.
