2017 Business in the Arts Awards May 8

33rd ANNUAL BUSINESS IN THE ARTS AWARDS GALA MAY 8

The 33rd annual Business in the Arts Awards will be held Monday, May 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Center of New Hampshire – Radisson Hotel in Manchester. Sponsored by the New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts, the gala will honor the twenty-one New Hampshire businesses nominated for this year’s awards. The evening highlights a celebration of business support for the arts and entertains with a performance showcase of dance, literature and music. The announcement of the winners is the evening’s grand finale.

Erin Fehlau and Sean McDonald of NH Chronicle are the masters of ceremonies for the festivities. The main stage performers feature NH Gay Men’s Chorus, The Serfs and the Winnipesaukee Playhouse. Lobby performances include Twin Fiddles with guitar accompaniment, painting, pottery and stained glass demonstrations by the New Hampshire Institute of Art and Studio 550 Gallery, and model examples of industrial design.

More arts fun includes a cultural trivia quiz show with lucky contestants winning baskets filled with goodies from New Hampshire’s cultural organizations, backrow art catalogues and craft items for table centerpieces.

The twenty-one businesses were nominated for their sponsorships, employee volunteerism, and donations of products and services in support of the arts. The winners in each of four categories will be announced during the evening.
